Nordward Sustainability Report 2024

2024 has been a transformative year in our commitment to sustainability, and a year of real progress in protecting the marine ecosystems we depend on.

2024 has been a transformative year in our commitment to sustainability, and a year of real progress in protecting the marine ecosystems we depend on.

As a group rooted in seafood, we know that our biggest environmental impact lies in what we choose to buy. That’s why our focus this year has been crystal clear: reduce the impact of our purchasing decisions.

We set out with four specific goals:

  • Minimising our purchase of seafood coming from bottom contacting fisheries.
  • Maximising our purchase of seafood coming from low impact fisheries.
  • Maximising our purchase of regenerative seafood.
  • Maximising our purchase of seafood coming from landbased farming.

We’re proud to say we’ve moved forward in all four areas.

This is an important milestone – not an end point, but a clear signal that change is possible when you set a direction and stay committed.
Our vision is a seafood industry that not only sustains – but restores.

To our teams across Nordward, and to our customers who support this mission: thank you.
